About the Project

The Ovens Chiller Replacement portion of the overall "BoPlex Renovations" project includes a complete interior abatement and demolition scope of the existing chiller room in Ovens Auditorium and existing cooling tower on the roof of the adjacent loading dock. Demolition will be followed by installation of two (2) new rooftop air-cooled chillers with associated power, piping, and controls to service Ovens Auditorium.

To support the install of these new rooptop units, a new steel substructure will be constructed on the roof of Ovens Auditorium's loading dock. The existing roofing will be patched and replaced beneath the new chillers and at the previous site of the existing cooling tower. A corrugated metal panel screenwall will be installed surrounding the roof to conceal the new rooftop chiller units.
